Delivery from E.L.F & 20% off code

I ordered some products from eyeslipsface.co.uk the other week because one, I received a 20% off voucher in my Bloggers Boutique goodie bag and two, I haven't purchased any elf products since my first order with them back in October 2010. This post is showing you what I bought rather than a review, but if you'd like me to review a particular item than do let me know!
High Definition Powder in Clear, £6

I had heard a lot of good things about the HD powder, so as a person who uses powder in my daily makeup routine I had to give this a go and see what all the hype is about. I use the Boots No7 Perfect loose powder (buy here) in Translucent, I have done for years and nothing has been able to knock it off my top spot, but at £11 a go I am constantly looking for cheaper options, maybe in this case it is a matter of getting what you pay for *sigh*.
(top to bottom) Studio Matt Lip Colour in Coral & Tea Rose, £3.75 each
I love, love, love matte lipsticks - you wouldn't see me dead in a gloss! In my Bloggers Boutique goodie bag I received an Elf Matte Lip Color in Natural and I admit, I didn't have high hopes for this product considering I have tried many natural lip colours by Mac in a matte finish and always disliked them, but Elf didn't disappoint. After falling in love with one of the Elf Matte Lip Color's I needed more in my life which is mainly the reason I made this order. I bought more in the colours 'Tea Rose' and 'Coral' which are both lovely.
Eyebrow Lifter and Filler in Ash/Ivory, £3.75

I don't wear a lot of makeup but recently I have been obsessed with trying to make my usual 'natural' looking makeup look it's best without making it go from natural to cakey; defining my eyebrows seemed like the direction to go in. I bought a couple of eyebrow products, the first being the eyebrow lifter and filler which for £3.75 is a bargain considering it has one end for highlighting the eyebrow, another end for filling in the eyebrow and a sharpener built into one of the lids, which is always handy.
Eyebrow Treat and Tame in Ash, £3.75

The second eyebrow product I bought is the eyebrow treat and tame which is definitely my favourite one out of the two. It comes with a serum to 'treat' your eyebrows which I probably won't use but the 'tame' part comes with a mascara like brush, making it easy to brush through your eyebrows, evenly coating them. As this product coats your eyebrows rather than fills them in, it is perfect for those wanting to define their eyebrows without making it look unnatural whilst setting them in place.
Matt Finisher Clear Nail Polish, £2.50

I have wanted to try out a matte finisher nail polish for a while now; always liked the concept but never been a huge fan of the outcome, yet I couldn't resist trying it out for myself. When I have some time on my hands I want to use the polish over a black nail polish and add metallic gold tips! Have you got any good combinations for matte nail polishes?
Studio Makeup Mist and Set, £3.75

For a long time now I have wanted to invest in a setting mist, for those long days or nights out when I want my makeup to last longer than usual. My main reason for not purchasing a makeup setting mist has been the price, as most I have come across don't seem worth the money for something that may not make a huge difference and therefore, I have always found something more fulfilling to spend my money on, like shoes! As I was already ordering from Elf and this product is less than £4 I couldn't not bung it in my basket; although the bottle is a lot smaller than I imagined, but that'll teach me not to look at the measurements.

Hope you enjoyed seeing what I got from Elf and if you would like me to haul more things on my blog than let me know. For those of you itching to make an Elf order than today is your lucky day! The 20% off code that I was given to use is available for my subscribers/followers to use for some guilt free shopping; I shall leave the code and info at the end of the post but hurry because the code runs out soon.

Suede Wedges at Topshop • Pick of the Week

topshop: nude suede stacked wedges, £55

I was having a little look around Topshop the other day and came across these beauts and even though I couldn't afford them I still couldn't resist trying them on and parading around the store in them whilst my friend sat down very bored as this is a regular habit of mine *hangs head in shame*. I admit, they aren't the easiest pair of wedges to walk in as they are so high but I'm sure after a bit of practice it wouldn't be an issue. If you are a lover of chunky heels and can only get one pair this season, these are a must because they combine a lot of hot trends around this summer - 70s platform, pastels and wooden heels.

The Lassie Suede Stacked Wedges are available in four other styles; classic black, leopard print, simple black with a stacked espadrille wedge which is really in keeping with summer and metallic silver. All these shoes are just so gorgeous and compared to a lot of Topshop heels, they are quite reasonably priced at just £55 each.

(left to right) black stacked platform sandal // leopard stacked sandal // stacked platform sandal // silver stacked platform sandal

My number one pick are the nude suede wedges and when I have the money they will most definitely be making their way into my shoe collection. I'd style them with either a retro play suit along with a cute floppy hat for the ultimate vintage summer look or keep it simple with a pair of skinny jeans and a vest top.

Which pair have you got your eyes on?

Pixie Pink

Sleek blush in Pixie Pink£4.30 at sleekmakeup.com

The other day I paid a visit to Superdrug and as I was browsing through the isles I remembered how I've wanted to try out a Sleek blush for ages, so I headed straight to the Sleek section. I've been using the same blusher for almost three years now (Fluer Power by MAC) because it's an amazing blush but I've also never found one that compares; I always find a lot of drugstore blushers break easily, only last a couple months or have a lot of shimmer in them which I can't stand!

I picked up the Sleek blush in Pixie Pink because out of all of them it looked the most suited to my skin tone. Over the years I've worked out that I should stick to pinker blushes as the orange based ones give me that blotchy foundation/bronzer gone wrong look as I'm so darn pale - I bought Peaches by MAC a while back and only ever used it once because it looked so odd on me but if you're darker skinned I would totally recommend it as it's a lovely blusher, like most MAC blushers are.

I've worn this blush several times now and it's making a nice difference to my usual blush. It has amazing pigment so you hardly need any on your brush when applying and it's not shimmery, yay! It is a lot lighter and brighter than Fluer Power by MAC so it makes a really lovely blush for summer. I also want to mention how great this product is for the price, the packaging and product itself is great quality and I will definitely be buying more from Sleek in the future.

What's your favourite blush?

Jean Trends SS12

featured in OOTD ft. The Little Dear No.2 on youtube

I'm a huge fan of jeans, so I thought I would mention some of the main trends for jeans this spring/summer. Jeans are fab for all seasons and there is a style out there for everyone no matter what shape you are; I definitely have a soft spot for high waisted, rolled up skinny jeans, have had since the age of fifteen.

1. Current/Elliot: Stiletto Floral Print Cropped Low Rise Skinny Jeans£195 at Net-A-Porter   2. Topshop: Moto Vintage Floral Jamie Jean £45   3. River Island: White Floral Print Super Skinny £40   4. Current/Elliot: Haystack Floral Print Stiletto Pants £218 at stylebop.com   5. Current/Elliot: Stiletto Skinny Jean£134 at farfetch.com
6. Mango: Floral Print Super Slim Jeans
£34.99

Floral is a trend that reappears every spring/summer and this year we have seen some great floral patterns on jeans; they are a great item to slide into on those days when you don't want to fuss over your outfit too much as they are decorative enough on their own and all they need to accompany them is a classic white tee.

1. Topshop: Moto Noen Supersoft Leigh Jean£38   2. Oasis: Cherry Coloured Jeans, £45   3. Topshop: Moto Turquoise Skinny Leigh Jean£38   4. Cimarron, 79 EUR   5. Monkee Genes: Organic Cotton Sateen Supa Skinny Jean, £55
6. Miss Selfridge: Coral Ultra Soft Jeans
£36

Bright coloured jeans makes a stylish statement piece this season - put with another brightly coloured item if you want to stand out (in a good way) and embrace colour blocking, or bung on a plain tee and lots of jewellery.

1. Glamorous: Jeans Candy Stripe, £40 at House of Fraser   2. Topshop: Moto Stripe Supersoft Leigh Jeans£40
3. Topshop: Moto Neon Stripe Leigh Jeans
£40   4. Current/Elliot: Stiletto Cropped Low Rise Skinny Jeans£195
5. Quiz: White & Blue Stripe Skinny Jean
£14.99 at Debenhams   6. Quiz: White & Beige Skinny Jeans£14.99

Striped jeans have become a huge trend this year and having three pairs myself (from River Island, Motel Rocks and Topshop) I am definitely a fan. Again, you want to keep the rest of the outfit minimal - I usually pair my striped jeans with a plain shirt and collar tips.
1. Current/Elliot: Ankle Lilac Low Rise Skinny Jeans£195 at Net-A-Poter   2. Wallis: Petite Peach Slim Leg Jeans, £23.60
3. Cheap Monday: Tight OD Spearmint$50 at General Pants Co.   4. Mango: Cropped Jeans, £32.99
5. Wallis: Petite Lemon Slim Leg Jean, £23.60   6. Topshop: Moto Mink Baxter Jeans$80
From dusky pink to mint green, everyone is going crazy for pastels this spring/summer and I don't blame them! Wear this trend with a cute pastel coloured pair of heels or flats for the ultimate summary look.
1. J Brand: Twisted Tie Dye Mid Rise Skinny Jeans, £235   2. Acquaverde, 110 EUR
       3. Elizabeth and James: Tie Dye Print Low Rise Skinny Jeans,
 £190 at Net-A-Porter

This year we are embracing the 90s more than ever with tie dye; if you love this trend you most likely have a tie dye top already but do you have a pair of tie dye jeans? This trend is great for any festival look - team it up with some John Lennon style sunglasses to instantly step back in time with your look.

What's your favourite jeans trend this season?

Sunglasses Trends SS12

(left) shopplanetblue.com (right) nastygal.com
Round sunglasses are bar far my favourite sunglasses trend to date, I guess you could say it's to do with my inner hippy. This year I have been sporting a black circular pair from Squint at Topshop and last year I had a gold rimmed pair that I got for a couple of quid on eBay. This year we have seen a revamp of the classic circular sunglasses with fresh clear frames, half rims and metal bridges - my favourite are the translucent plastic frames with a hint of pastel colour. Round sunglasses are great for any festival look!
1. Ray Ban: Original Round Sunglasses, £120 at ASOS   2. The Row: Rounded Sunglasses, £189.50 at ASOS

(left) asos.com (right) asos.com

Cat eye sunglasses are a chic way to give you a feminine, vintage look; pair them with a pencil skirt, a red lip and you're ready to go. Just like the round sunglasses, the cat eye has been given a new look this season with larger frames and a variety of prints and colours.
1. ASOS: Polka Dot Cat Eye Sunglasses, £12   2. Charlotte Olympia: Cat Eye Feather Sunglasses, £257 at My Theresa
3.  ASOS: Frosted Cat Eye Sunglasses, £12   4. Alexander Wang: Cat Eye Sunglasses, £216 at Tatty Devine
5. Rebecca Minkoff: Harrison Sunglasses, $230   6. Selima Sun: Sophia Sunglasses, £110.60 at J.Crew

(left) nastygal.com (right) asos.com

Add a splash of colour to any look this summer with colourful sunglasses, whether it be in the form of tinted lenses, bold frames or a dash of floral. The hot colour pallet for sunglasses frames this summer are pastels; wearing a cute pastel coloured pair of sunnies is a great way to incorporate the pastel trend within your look this season if you're not brave enough to wear it through clothing.
1. Madewell: Hepcat shades, $55   2. ASOS: Cat Eye Sunglasses with Extreme Highbrow, £7.50   3. Jack Wills: Holcombe Sunglasses, £79   4. Chicwish: Round Colour Sunglasses, $24.90   5. ASOS: Round Sunglasses with Pink Mirrored Lens, £12
6. Italian Independent: Velvet Way Sunglasses, £119.51 at L'Inde Store

(left) asos.com (right) nastygal.com

Sports lux hit the catwalks and high street last summer and now it's back for round two but if you're anything like me and you're not embracing this trend with open arms then adding a hint of sports lux through sunglasses is the best way to get the look. The sports lux trend covers both feminine styles and more bulkier styles - my favourite are the delicate, circular sunglasses with metal visors, a lot like the ones in the photo above. These sunglasses are perfect to amp up your look on a bike ride in the sun or playing a friendly game of badminton with your mates.
1. Kate Spade: New York Metal Aviator Sunglasses, £88.48 at Nordstorm   2. Ray Ban: Aviator Sunglasses, £76 at ASOS
3. Party Rock: Stud Sunglasses, $14.50 at Hot Topic   4. Illesteva: Le Steel Round Frame Metal Sunglasses, £200 at Net-A-Porter
5. Nasty Gal: Circle The Mesh Shades, $88   6. Carrera: 23 Rectangular Sunglasses, £76 at ASOS

My favourite places to shop for sunglasses are ASOS and Nasty Gal.
What style sunglasses will you be wearing this summer?

Gramercy Glitz

(left) NYC nail polish: Carrie'd Away, £2.49 at Superdrug   (right) NYC nail polish: Gramercy Glitz, £2.49 at Superdrug

I popped into Superdrug today and bought a few cheeky items, two of them being my first ever NYC nail polishes; I got Carrie'd Away and Gramercy Glitz as I thought they would make a nice combination. I'm impressed with the formula of both nail polishes but only time will tell if they chip quickly or not.
Carrie'd Away is less opaque than I thought it would be but I still like it nonetheless and it's the perfect colour for any of you who are either at school or in a workplace where you can't wear nail polish as it gives a very subtle colour and makes a nice chance to clear nail polish. Gramercy Glitz definitely brings glitz to this combo but it kind of reminds me of the glittery nail polishes I used to mess around with as a youngster, although I admit it looks better in person than in the photo. It's not my favourite glitter polish in my collection although I am looking forward to trying it on over other colours. For £2.49 each you can't really go wrong and at the moment Superdrug are doing a 3 for 2 offer on all NYC nail polishes!

What's your favourite NYC nail polish?

Denim Bandeau Dresses at Topshop • Pick of the Week

I was doing my weekly browse on topshop.com (I like to torture myself by looking at clothes even when I have no money to spend.. we all do it right?) when these gorgeous sorbet coloured dresses caught my eye - I soon realised topshop sold them in a range of colour/patterns and I had to share them with you!

The structure of each dress will cinch in your waist and enhance your curves giving you that amazing, womanly 'pin up' figure, no matter what your shape - men won't be able to keep their eyes off of you! Although these figure hugging dresses make you look and feel sexy, the denim brings it down a notch for a more casual vibe whilst the colours keep it summary, up-to-date and cute. The other great thing about these dresses is that they can easily be dressed up or dressed down with a change of hair, make-up and/or accessories.

Not brave enough for such bold colours/patterns? The light denim dress keeps it classic and would look amazing with a red lip, I recommend Ruby Woo by MAC.

My favourite one out of the four is the peach coloured denim - this would look great with a tan, making it the perfect dress for your summer holiday when you're hitting the cocktail bars at night. If you love the colour but you think it's a little full on, why not slip into the mid-stone denim or printed dress and splash a bit of Peach Melba by Barry M on your nails for a hint of peach.

Which one is your favourite and how would you style it?

Lunch at Wagamama

I'm sure you have heard that it's the Queen's Diamond Jubilee which means an extra bank holiday and a longer weekend for most of us (in the UK) *dances* therefore my best friend Lucy had her first Sunday off work in a long time so we decided to make the most of it. In my home town of Tunbridge Wells we have a music venue called The Forum (recently named Britain's Best Small Venue by NME) which holds a mini festival called UNFEST each year where people can go watch various bands for free throughout a whole weekend; I saw my mates band (The Visitors) play yesterday and today Lucy and I popped down to see what was going on - we saw a couple of bands (UGLY LOVE & Jon Mills) and they were amazing!

Afterwards we headed to Wagamama for some lunch, which I was fairly excited about as the last time I had been there was on my seventeenth birthday. Lucy and I both ordered an orange berry bang fruit juice, made with orange juice, mixed berries and passion fruit - it was delish! I've only ever had noodles or soup at Wagamama, therefore I wanted to try something new so I go the chicken katsu curry which was so yummy but I couldn't finish such a large portion *sad times*. Lucy went for the yaki soba which is basically noodles with chicken, shrimp and vegetables. What's your favourite dish to order when you go to Wagamama?

I'm so glad Lucy and I arranged to hang out or it probably would have been a very boring day!

Bloggers Boutique SS12

On Saturday, I attended the first ever BBoutique event held at the oh so sleek and stylish Drift Bar, a few minutes from Liverpool Street Station, London. The day was organised by the three lovely girlies Shope, Shore and Amy - this was their first time organising an event like this and hats off to them, they did a wonderful job! I loved catching up with some familiar faces as well as meeting new ones; I have to say everyone was dressed amazingly, I had a lot of clothes envy!

The event started with a make-up tutorial by My face Cosmetics along with talks from Motel Rocks, Betty Hula and Sue Moxley (creator of FAMOUS cosmetics) which were scattered throughout the day. There was a Filthy Gorgeous beauty lounge where you could get your nails done (I never got round to having mine done - can't believe I missed out on a free manicure.. I'm a crazy lady!) and you could get your lashes done at The Vintage Cosmetic Company lounge.

Sammi, Me & Kaori
                              Faye, Sammi & I                                                             Essie & I

At the end of the event there was a raffle and I won the 'vintage goodie bag' which had a lovely vintage leather clutch bag and scarf in it (I was so excited, I'd never won anything in a raffle before), then we all got our goodies bags and wow, they were amazing to say the least - I have never been to an event and got so much in one goodie bag (I may do a blog post on it if requested and show you my favourite items).

The BBoutique event was such a lovely day - amazing venue, chilled atmosphere and the nicest people; I am without a doubt going to the next one as long as I am invited that is!
