This year one of my favourite go-to breakfasts (or post dinner desserts) has been a smoothie bowl. You're most likely sick of hearing about them by now if you're up-to-date on current food trends but I'm asked daily to share more recipes, one of them being my smoothie bowl so for those asking, here you go. The great thing about them is that you really only need a couple of ingredients and then the rest is up to you. This is my general go-to smoothie bowl but honestly, it changes most times I make it but you'll get the jist.
- Blend 2-3 Frozen Bananas with a little Almond Milk
(optional: add 1 Tsp of Maca Powder before blending - it's great for energy levels and I get mine from Organic Burst)
- Scrape half the mixture into your bowl and blend the other half with Frozen Berries
(optional: add 1 Tsp of Acai Powder before blending - it's full of antioxidants and rich in essential fatty acids. I get mine from Body Me)
- Top with Strawberries, Chia Seeds, Natural or Greek Yogurt and BlendCo. Superfood Blend but of course, top with anything you desire.. GO CRAZY!
So, there you have it - enjoy your nutrient packed breakfast which basically feels like you're eating ice cream for breakfast; can't go wrong with that!
